Mask Shop: www.ravenwoodmasks.com Learn sculpting, mold making, casting, and painting techniques.
You will leave class with a neoprene mask and a plaster mask mold.
Small class size allows for individual direction.

You will learn:
* sculpting in clay
* how to sculpt expressions that make your mask come alive
* plaster mold making techniques
* casting with neoprene rubber
* trimming and sanding neoprene
* fitting a mask to a person?s face
* making an adjustable elastic strap
* painting techniques

Daytime Class Schedule:
Monday, February 26 ? Friday, March 2.
M-F 10:00 am -3:00 pm

Weekend/Evening Class Schedule:
Saturday, March 3 ? Wednesday, March 7
Sat & Sun 10:00 am ? 5:00 pm, Tue & Wed 6:00 pm ? 9:00 pm

Location:
The Brewery Arts Complex in downtown Los Angeles, CA.

Cost: $350 plus $35 for materials
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place in class.
Class size is limited, register early to reserve space.

Alyssa Ravenwood has been sculpting masks for theatre productions since 1988. Her masks are seen in performances by theatre companies and schools in the USA, Europe, Canada, and Japan. She was awarded the Portland Drammy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Mask Design and is a two time winner of the Best Performance Mask Award at the Ink People Maskibition. She has taught mask making and mask performance workshops at theatres and Universities across the US.
