" Transformation through ritual is a continuing theme permeating and influencing my perception that object and image, at times transcend aesthetics to address rites of passages, rebirth and the mystical. The ritualistic process of manipulating objects and materials to the point of reinvention functions as a metaphor for power. For me, transformation is based on synthesizing the energy from the found objects and materials with the energy of one's emotional and psychological state. The work is more than simply objects; they are incarnations of spiritual forces and seem to have a life and power of their own." Quote the artist
