Presentation
The teacher measures the child from the top of the head to the bottom of the chin, and from ear to ear. Show the child to cut out a rectangle of this size from a paper bag or construction paper, and to fold the rectangle in half, and cut out eye holes and a narrow triangle for the nose. The child can decorate with paint, fabric or paper scraps, and decorative trim.
To attach: cut out two strips of paper for securing the mask to the head. Cut one strip just long enough to reach across the back of the head from ear to ear, and the other strip should be just long enough to fit from the forehead, over the top of the head to meet the other strap in the middle of the head in back. Staple or glue the strips to the mask.
