Morild was founded in 1979 and the actors are:

Kirsten Gitz-Johansen: maskmaker, carver and maskplayer
Uffe Gitz-Johansen: woodsculptor and maskplayer
Hanne Christensen: visual artist, drama teacher and maskplayer
Lars Christensen: teacher, technician and maskplayer

Through a precise and clear expression made with simple stage set-tings Morild is trying to make beautiful and dramatic images where music, sound and light are an intergral part of the play.

Morild is seeking inspiration in their everyday life, in fary-tails, myths and visual art. They have attended different courses in dramatic art and mask skills by professionals. Morild has lately been instructed by the professional maskdancer Maria Lexa.

Morild performs at schools, continuation schools, rest homes, village halls and churches, they have also visited Greenland several times.
