• Hi Gals & Ghouls! icon biggrin

The time is almost upon us. That is to say, that wonderful change of seasons which accompanies All Hallow's Eve and the wonderful masquerading traditions.

What masks are you making? Anyone want to share their latest mask making projects.? I am working on a variation of scarecrow faces which are organic looking. Not the typical Hollywood type, as I enjoy using my imagination a bit. The fun part is that most of these have been made from paper bags. Will show pics when I get a chance.

      Anyone else?

    • well, being as i am incredibly new to this, my plans for a halloween mask could go many different ways. my first mask, which i just finished painting, turned out very different from what i had origionally planned (when the brush hit the mask after a base coat of fleshtone, she decided how she wanted to look. she has blue, black, and "pixie dust" glitter accents and i must say that i think i like her. i am really proud of how she turned out-especially as she is my first). for my second, it will again be a full face (that is all the local hobby shop carries and i don't know how to make my own yet so i am using those for now) with a fleshtone base but this time i plan on using black, crimson, silver, glitter, and attempting to add feathers. if there is any advice you could give me on painting tools (i am having a difficult time with the brushes i have) and techniques i would greatly appreciate it.
