Hi Yve,
Here are my favorite glues.
E-6000 epoxy or ?Goop? brand epoxy. Available in the hardware section. They are thick and work well for attaching embellishments. They create a very strong bond. I use them to attach mask straps.
Fabri-Tac by Beacon is another good glue for attaching embellishments. Available at fabric stores. It is perfect when you just need a little squirt of glue for a rhinestone and don?t want the smell and mess of epoxy. It dries quickly, so it is great for emergency repairs during a performance or for workshops with kids when you want instant gratification.
"Sculpt or Coat" works for paper or fabric mache, also for laminating fabrics or papers on to masks. This glue spreads on like paint. You can coat a mask then sprinkle glitter on top. You can also mix glitter and pigments into the glue. Available from http://www.sculpturalarts.com/ They also make non-toxic varnish in flat and gloss.
Yours,
Alyssa
