• The only things I wanted when my grandmother passed were these maks. I have always wondered about them and were they came from. I have this one that came with a pack of cigarettes. A perfect size for the mask of the man with a hole placed in his mouth. I would like to know more about them and were I could find more. If there is anyone out there who knows about this please reply.

• Hi
I have a collection of these masks too. The only info. I have about these masks was posted in this forum.
Mine say, "US reg. patent." However, I can't seem to find out a thing about the patent.

Hello,

My stepfather is the son of the woman who created "Margot Masks". He has several masks and his brother has several of the original "casts". On a whim, I decided to search the internet for information, and I was surprised to find the interest in these masks.

Please, feel free to contact me regarding any information you would like to know. We are proud that people still express interest in her work, and we wish to continue her legacy.

Thank you,

Thomas W. Thornell

• Hi,
I have a large collection of these masks. I really enjoy each and every one-even dusting them. I have the miniature masks, but I understand that there are other sizes. I would love to see the other masks.

I took them to the "Antiques Roadshow" and they knew nothing about them. They put a price of $50 on each(which made me happy).

I have also tried to find the patent-no luck!
I would like to know how many different casts were made, where & how they were sold & any other information you would like to share.

Her "legacy" is one of my cherished possessions.

I can't wait to here more about these masks.
Thanks,
Patsy
