    • I am so glad that I found this site. I have bought several hand made Venetian masks and now I would like to try making my own.
      1. I've noticed that the Venetian masks have gold patterns on them which are actually 'raised' and not flat. How is this achieved?
      2. Also, they talk about macrame, buthow could I duplicate that? Is this another word lace? It's certainly not the rope kind!
      3. Where can I buy plasater bandages to make the form?
I would really appreciate your input on this. I can't wait to get started!

    • Hi there,
If you browse this website, you'll find different tips regarding the gold pattern (I use special liner pen)
The word macrame can relate to any type of rope or thread, it's the way it is knotted that makes it macrame.
As for plaster bandages, I order mine from Opitec
(http://www.opitec.com) but they are european based and I think you can find them in most crafts shops.
