LOOKING FOR MASKS: Mystery Mask RSS

    • I have a red, black and white wooden mask of a certain age from Africa...somewhere. It is labelled 'Gola', but I have been unable to find anything so brightly coloured in the Gola culture. The eyes are on stalks, with white ends. The forehead is painted black with an ambitious rolled hairstyle. The general skin colour is red. It has real hair as a moustache and also a long drooping 'tache coming from the mid cheeks. It has very large bared white teeth (squarish). It is a freal mixture. I can send u an image if you email me on lawrence_owens@yahoo.co.uk hope someone can help! Lawrence
