• Hi Helge:
it looks good. Is it possible to have one part for the people searching for job ad another for the jobs availeble? or is it best to have both in the same topic?
Augusto.

• Wow!

I love the example! It does happen like that sometimes, though the prices may be negotiable. The form is quite comprehensive. I also like the other search features. This covers it, in my opinion.

I will begin to let people know about this new feature, especially within the costuming community. Some of us are in the costume profession. Perhaps our combined efforts can assist in promoting this service to the theatrical and event community.

Those that visit this website for future commisions will obviously see our work and will have these options available to them. Later, they can follow-up with us individually. Sunhawk, you are terrific for providing this opportunity.

Regards,

Rozani

• PLEASE notice that this is NOT a final feature - i'm looking for opnions - ideas etc. Then it MIGHT be that it will be a service here. So please do not tell people to use it now - since it might be a waste of time.

• icon biggrin As soon as a jobsection starts to grow - what a nice thought - I think its important to divide section into search and offer. It gets very confusing with too few categories when its big. We must make it easy. use the right language also. Must think there are many users like me - who would be lost often without the chance to ask Helge all the time.
I think it is very important to be very clear in the definition of such a section.. If someone is looking for a special kind of mask is that the place to ask for instance?
Ex: " who can make me a Pulchinella mask for 150 Dollars at the most "....Is that a question belonging in the jobsection? And how do we tell the world to go look for masks and makers here? Many things to consider. Please join to discuss.

• Hello Again.

No problem. Should you decide, then I will help to get the word out. Just caught up in the enthusiasm. icon smile Sticking to the subject, here are my thoughts based on my experience with the "SCRIBE" Network on line.

As an example, the "SCRIBE" Network is a place where entertainers and artisans list their services for hire to others in the Renaissance related market place. It is very similar to what you have outlined, Helge and it works well with them and their members. They provide a link and informatin about the person by category. For instance, Performers, Merchants, Sword Smiths, etc. It is quite specific. Under that, there is written the person's specialty and terms. At a glance, the person who is looking can narrow it down to specifics. It has helped me for several years.

Marketing - Think of it as a virtual art agency or gallery representative. Once your data base of applicants is completed and the listings are made, then it is a matter of putting your sellers in touch with the buyers. There is the familiar launching it on line through the search engines, etc. There are also the trade fairs and event coordinators that all help in the promotional process.

Since there is also the distiction between a job or a commission, it depends on how the artists want to approach the market. Some of us accept contracts, while others want to be hired for salary. I like the idea of Search and Offer. What will work best for us, though? We don't know until we try it.

• Sunhawk,
Looks good to me. I always like cheking out listings for jobs and those looking for work etc. It would be cool to have an appreticeship listings as well (looking for and wanting to). To have the job search in such an easy system is a fine plan.
Warm Regards,

• Hi Helge:
Is the job section working now? When can we start filling it?
Augusto.

• No - still working on it. Have been busy moving the site and doing some other updates to improve the speed - which I think I have achieved.
I will post some words on the front page when it's or if it's done. I'm still considering whether to make or.....

• I have suspended the work on the jobsection for at least three months. During that time I will evaluate the comments here and decide what to do.
