MAKING MASKS: Li-qua-chè RSS

1 to 1 of 1

    • I've been looking into a few different mask making techniques, particularly time saving ones. I was reading about Neoprene, which seems very interesting, but also expensive.

Li-qua-chè is a product from Amaco that is much cheaper. The process of casting however is very similar. You pour the liquid/polymer into a negative mold, let it set, then dump out the excess.

I was wondering if anyone has ever used the stuff on a mask. All I can get on the internet is from people who have used it for dolls to get a porcelain like look.

It dries rigid and is supposedly quite durable. I am particularly curious about making eye/nose holes in the finished product since I'm not sure just how rigid the material gets. I may just experiment, but I thought I would see if anyone else has had any success.

      Thanks.
