    • I've always wanted to make leather masks. I happened upon the beautiful maska made by Richard Mansour. Does anyone know how I can gain instruction or have a book title to suggest? Thank you for your help.

    • Hi Homas
I thought, that maybe it is good in your search for assistance, to pop the question on the frontpage - many more people see it there. Also someone might have have the book or other good books lying around for you.
well - Thats an idea for you.
      sincerely Susan, Maskmakersweb.

    • Hello Homas,
Try getting the book at www.castcraft.com they claim to have it:
      Prop Builder's Mask Making Handbook
      (6) Props and Mask Making
      Part Sku: 6
      $23.95
by Thurston James. 203 pages. 8? x 11. Over 200 photographic illustrations. $23.95 postpaid in US.

I hear Mardi Gras in Galveston is geting big, do you sell there? I used to live in Seabrook, Tx (just north of Galveston) long long ago but I stll remember the beautiful opera house that had just been restored. Galveston is a cool spot.

    • I also higly reccomend the Thurston James book. I found my copy through www.bibliofind.com. This is a consolidated catalog for used book sellers around the country, and I've gotten a lot of good mask books fairly cheply from them.
